Four students awarded Zachary Sizemore Memorial Scholarship

Zachary Sizemore is fondly remembered for his unwavering resilience and tenacity. Despite his battle with cancer, his spirit lives on through the legacy he has left behind. Four high school students have been granted scholarships in his honor, a testament to his enduring impact.

Working in the accounting department at Four Star Freightliner, Zachary's dedication was apparent to all who knew him. His untimely passing in 2016 saddened many, yet his unshakable spirit continues to inspire. The scholarship established at Four Star Freightliner in his name serves as a touching tribute, allowing his memory to thrive.

Having attained his master’s degree, Zachary would undoubtedly take pride in knowing that his legacy extends beyond his own achievements. Through these scholarships, he continues to shape the futures of aspiring college students, embodying the essence of his enduring legacy.

The 2024 scholarship recipients are:

  • Summer Daughtry, Smiths Station High School
  • Lane Mathis, G.W. Long High School
  • Hunter Cosby, Hooper Academy
  • Brooks Chatman, Lee County High School

Each student will receive a one-time $1,000 award applicable to the college of their choosing. A total of 33 Zachary Sizemore Memorial Scholarships have been awarded since 2017.
