Four Star Freightliner is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of the Zachary Sizemore Memorial Scholarship, awarded annually to honor the life and legacy of our employee and friend, Zachary Sizemore.
This year’s recipients, each with a direct family connection to a Four Star Freightliner employee, are:
- Abbi Barnard, Baconton Charter School – Daughter of Lee Barnard, Parts & Service Account Manager
- Mary Dixon, Lowndes High School – Daughter of Mark Dixon, Parts Director
- Tyler Weisel, Appling County High School – Grandson of Pamela Bradley, Sales Administrator
Each student will receive a one-time $1,000 award to support their post-secondary education.
Zachary Sizemore worked in the accounting office at Four Star Freightliner’s Dothan location. He lost his battle with cancer in 2016 at the age of 32. A 2002 graduate of Rehobeth High School, Zack went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Cum Laude) and Master’s in Business (Magna Cum Laude) from Troy University Dothan. He is remembered for his intelligence, integrity, and his love for life.
Dealer Principal Jerry Kocan reflected on the impact of this scholarship honoring Zachary's legacy, saying:
“This year we will award our 36th scholarship since the inception of the Zachary Sizemore Memorial Scholarship. These scholarships have helped keep Zack’s memory alive and it helps families and friends of Four Star Freightliner. We are very proud to award these scholarships to deserving young people beginning their education.”
Since its launch in 2017, the Zachary Sizemore Memorial Scholarship has awarded 36 scholarships to deserving students. The program continues to be a meaningful way for the Four Star Freightliner family to honor Zack’s memory while supporting the next generation along their educational journey.
