Four Star Makes Equipment Donations To Autauga County Tech Center
Four Star Freightliner made an equipment donation to the Autauga County Technology Center, giving the high school students an introduction to field of diesel technology.
The technology center, which serves several high schools in Autauga County, Alabama, currently offers an automotive technology program. Having diesel equipment at their school allows them to receive exposure to a field where workers are in such high demand.
"We're proud to donate a Fontaine fifth wheel and an Eaton 10-speed transmission to the Autauga County School System," said Mike Klamer, Four Star Freightliner Warranty Manager. "It's an honor to work with them."
Klamer worked with service managers within Four Star's six dealerships to locate the unusable equipment. The students will be able to break down the equipment and rebuild it for classroom use.
"Autauga County Schools is grateful for the donation by Four Star Freightliner," said Chris Thornton, Career Coach for Autauga County. "Our students look forward to expanding their knowledge on diesel maintenance."
Four Star Freightliner plans to continue its relationship with Autauga County Schools by offering software, guidance and addressing other needs that the center might have in regards to diesel technology.
