Meet Candace Briley, Four Star Freightliner’s First Female Diesel Technician
At Four Star Freightliner, we pride ourselves on a culture of innovation, diversity, and breaking new ground in the heavy-duty truck industry. Candace Briley is a trailblazer in her own right. As our first female diesel technician across all seven of our locations, Candace is not just making history—she’s inspiring the next generation of women in a traditionally male-dominated field.
Candace works at our Albany, Georgia location, where she brings her passion and expertise to every truck she services. In a recent interview, Candace opened up about her experiences, shedding light on what it's like to be a woman in the shop. She acknowledges that being a diesel technician is no easy task. "It’s hard work," she says, "but it’s worth it!"
Her commitment to the craft is evident in everything she does. From diagnosing complex electrical issues to working side by side with her male counterparts, Candace has proven that gender is not a barrier to excellence. Her dedication and skills set a new standard for what it means to be a diesel technician at Four Star Freightliner.
Candace’s journey is not just about turning wrenches; it’s about turning heads and changing perceptions. She’s not interested in being treated differently because of her gender. In her own words, "There’s no job title for shop princess."
Candace’s story is a reminder that the road to success is open to anyone willing to put in the work. Whether you’re in the shop or behind the wheel, the only limit is your determination. Candace is a shining example of what it means to break barriers and set new standards, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her on our team.
