Damita Oliver Named Four Star's 2019 Employee of the Year

Four Star Freightliner, Inc. announced its Employee of the Year on Dec. 7 during the company’s annual Year End Employee Celebration at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort.

Damita Oliver, who works from the Dothan, Ala. location, received the majority of votes from her co-workers and was named the top employee of 2019. Oliver is the company’s Payroll Manager and has held that position since 2014. Prior to her role as Payroll Manager, Oliver handled accounts receivable duties. She has been with the company for nearly 9 years.

“I am so excited that Damita will be representing Four Star Freightliner as our Employee of the Year,” said Jerry Kocan, Four Star Freightliner Dealer Principal. “Her character and integrity are unmatched. She provides a tremendous example to all of our employees how a humble and grateful person represents herself.”

Four Star employs more than 200 people throughout its seven locations. Oliver said she is grateful and honored that her peers chose her for this honor.

“I thank everyone who found me deserving of this recognition, especially the owner of the company Jerry Kocan,” said Oliver. “His support throughout my years at Four Star Freightliner motivates me to give my absolute best to my job. I work with an amazing group of colleagues that contribute to me doing my job with a smile. “

Oliver was voted Employee of the Month in January 2019 with her peers submitting anonymous nominations including, “Damita is very professional and is willing to help everyone with problems they might have concerning payroll, etc. If she doesn’t have an answer she will get it. She is always friendly and greets you with a smile. She is one of our company’s best assets.”
