Four Star Freightliner Awarded Western Star Franchise In Valdosta & Albany, Ga

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC has awarded the Western Star truck franchise to Four Star Freightliner in Valdosta and Albany, Ga. which allows the company to sell the vocational trucks to customers in those areas.

When Four Star initially purchased the Albany dealership in November 2014, it was a parts and service support location. It has now been upgraded to a full service facility that is Elite Support Certified and also certified to sell and support all Daimler Trucks brands from Freightliner to Western Star.
The impact of offering the Western Star product line in Valdosta is even greater considering the large investment Four Star Freightliner is making in the dealership there. Four Star Freightliner first purchased the Valdosta dealership in 2011 but has decided to expand. The company is investing $3.5 million in a new building, which will be 25,000 square feet. Four Star will retain its 18 employees from the current location and could add another 10-15 team members. The new facility will open in the summer of 2018.
“By investing in a brand new location off Exit 11 with all of the growth taking place in and around Valdosta and Lowndes County, it is important to be able to represent all of the Daimler products from our Freightliner M2s, Cascadias and our vocational products plus all the Western Star brand has to offer,” said Jerry Kocan, Four Star Freightliner Dealer Principal. “This will allow us to sell and support all of the Daimler Trucks North America product offerings both on highway and the work trucks from our new location on White Water Road”.
Western Star is positioned as a premium brand within the Daimler Trucks North America family. These trucks are targeted at small and medium fleets, as well as owner-operators, with a focus on vocational and extreme-duty segments.
