Four Star holds ribbon cutting for new Valdosta location
Four Star Freightliner, Inc. held a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration on Thursday, Sept. 6 for its new building located at 3550 White Water Road in Valdosta, Ga. Operations officially moved from the previous location on Madison Highway in July.
“We wanted to hold this ribbon cutting to honor all of the hard work of all of the people that have helped us reach this point,” said Jerry Kocan, Four Star Freightliner Dealer Principal. “We are making a major investment in Valdosta and the Lowndes County community and intend to be here for many years in the future.”
Guests that included Four Star customers, city and county representatives were treated to lunch immediately following the ribbon cutting. Many toured the dealership, explored the inside of trucks on display and visited with on-site vendors.
The brand new, 25,000 square foot building, located just off Exit 11 on I-75, is proving to be more convenient and accessible to customers.
“Four Star operates under a continuous improvement culture,” Kocan said. “We are always trying to find solutions to our customers’ challenges and make their lives easier. We have added locations closer to interstates when possible or to trucking centers for easier access to our locations.”
Four Star Freightliner invested $3.5 million into the new Valdosta building. The company will retain its 25 employees from the current location and could add another 5 team members over the next six months.
